If you’ve never tried the black & white setting in your post-processing software, I would highly recommend it. While taking photos, I don’t necessarily decide that a particular photo will be black & white, rather I do that during post-processing (I use subscription-based Lightroom Classic). In my opinion, shots with a lot of contrast (e.g. Baobab tree, Silhouettes at sunrise and Abandoned windmill) look very striking in black & white. Also shots that are more monochromatic often look better as a black & white image (e.g. Sea cliff in mist and Knot in board). Try it out. I think you’ll be amazed with a little work how many otherwise throw-away images can look stunning in black & white!
